Role Overview
As a Keyholder, you will contribute to excellent store operations and customer engagement, promoting pet wellbeing through expert product recommendations and service. You share responsibility for driving store profitability and support team development while upholding safety, compassion, expertise, and efficiency. This role involves daily operational tasks and community representation for the store.
What You Will Do
- Operate the cashier and handle customer transactions.
- Manage merchandise orders, banking procedures, and administrative paperwork.
- Stock small merchandise items (under 10 lbs) on shelves and sales areas.
- Maintain store cleanliness including sweeping, dusting, and general upkeep.
- Unload delivery shipments weighing up to 50 lbs and organize stock accordingly.
- Open and close the store following company protocols.
- Delegate daily goals and tasks to associates when management is absent.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum two years' experience in retail or customer service roles.
- Familiarity with operating POS systems.
- Friendly, outgoing personality complemented by strong customer service skills.
- Physical ability to lift items up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Reliable transportation to commute to the store location.
- Possession of a valid driver's license may be necessary.
