Overview
Omega Pos Technology is looking for a full-time Accountant to support day-to-day finance and accounting operations in the United States. This role focuses on keeping books accurate, handling routine accounting tasks, and providing reliable financial information to management.
What you'll do
- Record and process daily accounting entries and maintain up-to-date financial records.
- Draft, update, and organize financial statements, summaries, and reports.
- Manage both accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
- Carry out bank reconciliations and broader account reconciliations.
- Track invoices, expense activity, customer collections, and outgoing payments.
- Keep accounting files complete, well-documented, and properly stored.
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis when needed.
- Follow company policies, accounting rules, and applicable legal requirements.
- Work with leadership and internal teams on finance-related matters.
- Help with year-end closing, audits, and tax support documents.
What we're looking for
- At least 5 years of accounting experience or a comparable finance background.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to prepare reports, reconciliations, and financial statements accurately.
- High level of precision and strong focus on detail.
- Well-developed organizational and time management skills.
- Comfort working independently and handling confidential information responsibly.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in software, retail, restaurant, or POS-based businesses is an added advantage.
