Position Overview
The Front Desk Agent will manage guest check-ins by confirming reservations, assigning rooms, and issuing room keys. Responsibilities include handling all types of payments, processing guest check-outs while managing late or disputed charges, and answering guest inquiries via phone or in person. Coordination with Housekeeping to monitor room readiness and guiding guests about parking and local points of interest are also key duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate guest registration, room assignments, and key issuance.
- Process various payment methods including cash, credit/debit cards, personal and traveler's checks.
- Manage guest check-outs, resolving any outstanding issues or charges.
- Respond promptly to guest calls, messages, requests, and concerns.
- Collaborate with Housekeeping to ensure timely room preparedness.
- Provide guests with directions, property information, and local attractions.
- Generate daily arrival and departure reports and verify their accuracy.
- Perform cashier closing duties, including cash counts and bank balancing.
- Enforce company safety, security policies, and professional appearance standards.
- Maintain confidentiality and protect company assets.
- Deliver warm, anticipatory guest service in line with company standards.
- Communicate effectively and maintain positive working relationships.
- Perform physical tasks such as standing or walking for extended periods and handling objects up to 10 pounds.
- Complete additional reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
- No prior related work or supervisory experience required.
- Must be able to speak clearly and professionally and use telephone etiquette appropriately.
- Capability to maintain confidentiality and comply with safety and quality standards.
Additional Information
This position is full-time and located onsite at West Bay, Doha, Qatar. There is no remote or hybrid work option.
