Role Overview
The Foundry Supervisor will oversee the daily operations within the aluminium foundry, including melting, alloy preparation, casting, and billet handling. The goal is to meet production targets, maintain high quality adhering to ASTM and EN standards, and uphold safe work environments.
Primary Duties
- Lead daily aluminium melting, alloying, casting, and billet handling activities.
- Ensure production goals are met according to scheduled plans.
- Continuously monitor furnace temperatures, process parameters, and casting procedures.
- Guarantee compliance with customer requirements and industry quality benchmarks.
- Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, and Production teams to quickly address operational challenges.
- Track labor deployment and maintain detailed shift production documentation.
- Reduce scrap, metal losses, and production stoppages.
- Implement scheduled preventive maintenance.
- Uphold safety protocols including PPE adherence and 5S workplace organization.
- Provide training and supervision for foundry operators on operational standards.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, or Production Engineering.
- 5 to 7 years of experience managing aluminium foundry operations, with proven supervisory capabilities.
Eligibility
Applicants must possess a B.Tech or B.E. degree in Metallurgical Engineering to be eligible.
