FMCG Supply Chain Manager

Role Overview

We seek a highly experienced Supply Chain Manager specializing in the FMCG sector to oversee comprehensive supply chain functions. The candidate will be responsible for managing demand planning, procurement, inventory control, warehousing, logistics, distribution, and vendor relations to ensure operational excellence in a dynamic FMCG setting.

Primary Duties

• Oversee complete supply chain processes encompassing procurement, planning, warehousing, logistics, and distribution.
• Lead demand forecasting, Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), inventory optimization, and replenishment strategies.
• Maintain optimal product availability while minimizing inventory and reducing supply chain expenses.
• Drive vendor development, negotiate contracts, and monitor supplier performance rigorously.
• Enhance warehouse management, optimize transportation logistics, and refine distribution frameworks.
• Collaborate extensively with Sales, Manufacturing, Finance, and Procurement departments for unified business operations.
• Implement process enhancements, automation projects, and manage performance based on key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Ensure strict adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and legal compliance throughout supply chain activities.

Candidate Qualifications

• 12 to 15 years of progressive supply chain experience within renowned FMCG companies.
• Expertise in demand planning, supply planning, procurement, logistics, warehousing, and distribution.
• Proven practical knowledge of S&OP, inventory management, forecasting approaches, and cost reduction strategies.
• Strong leadership qualities paired with excellent stakeholder engagement, analytical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Familiarity with ERP platforms such as SAP or Oracle is advantageous.
• Educational background including an MBA in Operations or Supply Chain Management or an engineering degree is preferred.

• Location: Mylapore, Chennai
• Compensation: Up to ₹20,00,000 per annum
• Working Schedule: Includes alternate Saturdays
