Fleet Manager

Job Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Fleet Manager to supervise fleet activities, ensuring the effective management, upkeep, and deployment of vehicles and heavy machinery that support several projects in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will focus on enhancing fleet efficiency, increasing equipment availability, managing operating expenses, and leading maintenance and workshop teams while adhering to safety policies and company standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily fleet operations across various project sites.
• Design and execute preventive and corrective maintenance strategies.
• Maintain high levels of fleet availability and operation efficiency.
• Track and optimize equipment usage and asset allocation.
• Lead teams responsible for workshops and maintenance tasks.
• Administer maintenance budgets, control spare parts and fuel usage, and manage operational costs.
• Evaluate vendor and supplier effectiveness.
• Ensure fleet activities comply with safety laws, company policies, and manufacturer guidelines.
• Analyze fleet performance using KPIs and prepare reports for management.
• Initiate continuous improvement projects to boost reliability and productivity.
• Collaborate with project teams to meet operational needs.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in fleet management or heavy equipment operations.
• A minimum of 5 years in a leadership or managerial position.
• Background in construction, infrastructure development, industrial sectors, or handling heavy equipment.
• In-depth knowledge of fleet maintenance, workshop management, asset oversight, and cost containment.
• Familiarity with Fleet Management Systems (FMS), ERP solutions, or maintenance software.
• Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication and problem-resolution skills.
• Effective at planning and organizing workflows.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic is beneficial.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing extensive and varied fleet assets.
• Understanding of telematics, GPS vehicle tracking, and fleet performance analytics.
• Possession of professional certifications in fleet or maintenance management is a plus.
