This opportunity is with a globally recognised healthcare business backed by private equity and operating across international markets. The company is in a strong growth phase, and it is seeking an experienced Financial Director to join its senior finance leadership group. The role has significant visibility and involves close collaboration with executive leadership to strengthen financial control, reporting quality, governance, and ongoing improvement.

What you will lead

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will take charge of the Group Financial Control function. Your remit will cover financial reporting, statutory compliance, treasury, audit, tax, internal controls, and working capital management across several international entities. This is a practical leadership position in a busy, commercially focused environment, where you will both shape strategy and manage day-to-day finance priorities.

Core responsibilities

• Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting cycle for the group.
• Make sure IFRS requirements are met and statutory accounts are prepared correctly across different jurisdictions.
• Coordinate the group audit and manage relationships with external auditors.
• Strengthen financial governance, control frameworks, and risk management practices.
• Direct treasury activity, cash flow planning, and working capital optimisation.
• Handle tax compliance, transfer pricing, and regulatory filings.
• Work closely with senior leaders to support sound commercial and strategic decisions.
• Manage, coach, and grow a large finance team while encouraging ownership and continuous improvement.
• Support finance change initiatives and improve processes wherever possible.

Candidate profile

• You should be a qualified accountant, ideally ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
• You will have around 10 or more years of post-qualification experience in a senior finance leadership position.
• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS reporting and financial control is essential.
• You need prior experience overseeing audit, statutory reporting, and governance in an international setting.
• Experience of leading teams and working with senior stakeholders is important.
• A strong commercial outlook and a mindset focused on continuous improvement will be valued.
• Backgrounds in multinational, manufacturing, or healthcare organisations would be especially relevant.
