Role Summary and Responsibilities

The Financial Accountant will play a vital role in delivering precise and timely ledger accounting to support the CFO. This position requires solid experience in ledger and project accounting, with a sharp focus on month-end processes, particularly within a scaling business environment.

• Compile statutory financial statements including profit & loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements
• Coordinate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing procedures
• Maintain, reconcile, and control general ledger and relevant accounts
• Ensure adherence to IFRS/GAAP standards and tax laws
• Prepare statutory returns and collaborate with auditors during audits
• Analyze financial results and prepare reports for management review
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting efforts
• Maintain internal controls and ensure audit readiness
• Oversee the integrity of accounts payable and receivable functions
• Promote improvements in financial reporting workflows
• Manage workflow matrices and control payment processes and bank accounts
• Understand payroll-related tasks and Key VAT and withholding tax processing requirements

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of three years experience in ledger and project accounting roles
• Strong expertise in accounting principles, including IFRS and GAAP compliance
• Proficiency with Sage accounting software is essential
• Familiarity with Salesforce and CoreTime platforms is advantageous
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUP
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a client-oriented approach
• Strong numerical aptitude and analytical thinking
• Exceptional attention to detail combined with critical and strategic problem-solving abilities
• Qualification: ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent professional accounting certification
• Experience leveraging AI tools to enhance efficiency and analytical capabilities
