Role overview
This position calls for a commercially minded finance leader who can guide the organization’s finance operations and contribute to long-term, sustainable growth. The role spans financial planning, reporting, compliance, controls, and risk oversight, while also turning financial data into clear recommendations for senior leadership.
Core responsibilities
- Own the finance planning cycle, including budgeting, forecasting, and analysis of business performance.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, management reports, and dashboard reporting.
- Track financial results and suggest actions that strengthen profitability, efficiency, and overall business performance.
- Build and maintain strong financial controls, accounting policies, and governance processes.
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards, tax rules, statutory obligations, and internal procedures.
- Manage treasury activities, liquidity, working capital, and key financial risks.
- Work with internal and external auditors and drive timely closure of audit observations.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives through financial models, investment reviews, and business case analysis.
- Improve finance processes, automate reporting where possible, and enhance systems to raise operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with executive leadership and business teams to provide financial advice for commercial decisions.
- Guide, coach, and develop the finance team while encouraging accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications and experience
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a similar field is required.
- Professional credentials such as ACCA, CPA, CA, CIMA, or an equivalent qualification are preferred.
- Strong command of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, taxation, corporate finance, and internal controls.
- Good understanding of accounting standards, governance requirements, and regulatory compliance.
- Well-developed analytical, strategic, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven leadership, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Capability to assess complex financial information and translate it into practical business guidance.
- High standards of integrity, professionalism, commercial awareness, and judgment.
- Comfort with ERP platforms, financial reporting tools, and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and support growth in a fast-paced environment.
