Finance Investment Analyst

Position Overview

We are seeking a Finance Investment Analyst to join a rapidly expanding, private equity-backed consultancy based in London. The successful candidate will report directly to the Commercial Finance Director and assume a pivotal role in supporting strategic business decisions. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to engage in acquisitions, commercial analysis, financial modelling, and long-term planning, far beyond the scope of a standard analyst role.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with acquisition activities and related financial due diligence.
• Conduct comprehensive commercial analyses and prepare insightful investment appraisals.
• Develop and maintain detailed financial models to support strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to provide valuable insights that drive business growth and value creation.
• Prepare business cases and board presentations to communicate findings and recommendations effectively.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning efforts in coordination with internal teams.
• Identify performance trends and opportunities for improvement by analyzing financial data.
• Contribute to the design and enhancement of financial reporting and processes.
• Support integration efforts following acquisitions to ensure smooth transitions.

Candidate Requirements

• Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA are essential.
• Experience in Corporate Finance, Transaction Services, Deals Advisory, FP&A, or a similarly commercially driven finance role.
• Strong financial modelling skills combined with advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Analytical mindset with a natural curiosity and ability to challenge assumptions constructively.
• Proven ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly and confidently to senior management.
• Aptitude for working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and problem-solving complex business challenges.

Additional Information

The remuneration for this role is a salary range of £75,000 to £80,000 per annum, complemented by bonuses and employee benefits. The role is based onsite in London, with a hybrid working arrangement.
