As a Field Technician reporting to the Road Service Foreman, you will be responsible for servicing clients and act as the primary contact in your region for repairing and maintaining Merlo telescopic equipment. The preferred work location is Scarborough, Ontario.
Key Responsibilities
- Use diagnostic techniques to identify repairs needed both remotely and on-site.
- Communicate repair diagnoses and requirements clearly to individuals without mechanical expertise.
- Plan and manage repairs and preventive maintenance efficiently.
- Accurately complete service documentation within the expected time frames.
- Order necessary parts for equipment repair and upkeep.
- Adhere to warranty procedures and parts crediting guidelines.
- Represent and promote Manulift’s values to existing and prospective clients.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Possession of a diploma in heavy equipment mechanics.
- Over two years’ experience as a road technician or mechanic specializing in heavy-duty or construction machinery.
- Thorough knowledge of hydraulics, electrical, and electronic systems.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, motivation, and ability to work independently.
- Excellent diagnostic skills.
- Proficient communication skills, both written and verbal.
