Job description

About the Role

This position is ideal for individuals with a background in electrical, electronic, mechanical, avionics, or biomedical fields who want to engage with leading-edge technology. It includes comprehensive hands-on training both locally in Australia and internationally to equip the candidate with necessary expertise. The role involves working with a variety of Medical Imaging equipment such as CT, MRI, Ultrasound, X-Ray, and Nuclear Medicine systems.

The job can be based in Palmerston North or Hawke's Bay, primarily servicing customers in the lower North Island of New Zealand. Collaboration with teams in Southern New Zealand will be essential to deliver high-quality technical support and service regionally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct preventative maintenance, system updates, upgrades, corrective servicing, and installations on medical imaging equipment.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure efficient operations and prompt service delivery.
  • Prepare and complete service reports in a timely manner.
  • Maintain and enhance technical knowledge continuously by engaging in self-learning, attending computer-based training, mentorship, and practical experience.
  • Comply fully with all Environmental, Health & Safety regulations and policies.

Qualifications and Experience

  • The candidate must have technical or trade training.
  • Ability and confidence to work independently are required.
  • Possession of a current New Zealand Electrical Service Technician’s electrical registration is preferred; otherwise, candidates must be able to obtain this credential promptly.
  • Holding or obtaining a Radiation licence is advantageous, with company support available for the application process.
  • A valid unrestricted driving license is essential.
  • Willingness and ability to travel within New Zealand and internationally.
  • Right to work in New Zealand is mandatory.
