About the Role
Zurich Insurance Europe AG, Ireland Branch is seeking a Farms Business Development Coordinator for a fixed term of 12 months. The primary purpose of this role is to assist nine business development managers and the Head of Farm Sales in expanding Zurich’s presence within the farm insurance market sector. This position is based in Wexford and requires occasional travel to other Zurich locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate to formulate and implement a tailored business plan with business development managers.
- Maintain strong partnerships with organizations such as Dairygold, ICMSA, and FDC by managing referrals, urgent inquiries, and producing management information reports.
- Provide ongoing daily support to customers and ensure timely follow-up of each referral within agreed service level agreements.
- Inform potential clients about Zurich’s farm and related insurance products.
- Assist farm business development managers in achieving Gross Written Premium (GWP) targets.
- Keep all data within Salesforce current, particularly in key reporting areas.
- Attend events when necessary to support business development efforts.
- Work closely with business development managers to enhance Zurich’s relationships throughout the farming community.
- Support team colleagues to achieve overall success and contribute to smooth communications within the team.
- Challenge underwriters regarding risk appetites to align with business goals.
- Collaborate with personal lines teams focusing on motor and household insurances to secure comprehensive farm accounts.
- Regularly provide management with timely statistics covering referrals, quotes, policies bound, GWP, and conversion metrics.
- Monitor renewal book performance and coordinate cross-functionally with other teams when required.
- Proactively escalate critical renewal issues and other significant concerns to mitigate business impact.
Candidate Profile and Skills
- Must have at least two higher-level honours in Leaving Certificate subjects or possess a relevant third-level qualification.
- Certification in Insurance Practice (CIP) is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong sales acquisition abilities are advantageous.
- Solid business knowledge including insurance and related industries, demonstrating professionalism in managing business relationships.
- Comprehensive understanding of various insurance product lines.
- Excellent project management capabilities.
Additional Information
The working location is primarily Wexford; however, travel to other Zurich offices may occasionally be necessary. The role offers options for full-time or part-time hours to accommodate candidates’ flexibility needs.
