Role Overview
This opening is for an Intermediate Facilities Technician. The role calls for someone with strong specialist knowledge who can handle complex, technical work with a high degree of independence. The person in this position will rely on experience or specialist training, follow established standards, adapt procedures when needed, and help ensure the dependable running of the site’s buildings, facilities, machinery, and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Carry out planned maintenance activities, investigate and resolve faults, complete repairs, and coordinate with external contractors when required.
- Perform advanced maintenance and repair work across facility systems, including mechanical, electrical, and building services.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical schematics with confidence.
- Apply strong knowledge of the techniques, methods, and practices used to maintain buildings and facilities.
Education and Experience
The role requires an NFQ Level 6 qualification in a relevant field along with at least 12 months of related work experience.
