The Opportunity
This role is based in Auckland within the Structural Heart division. The business is dedicated to improving health outcomes and quality of life through device and management solutions for structural heart disease.
In this position, you will focus on driving sales performance, expanding market presence, and managing activity across the assigned territory.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Deliver sales outcomes and strengthen market share in the assigned territory, while contributing to broader state performance.
- Carry out sales effectiveness programs that support business expansion and the development of selling capability, including territory planning, account planning, customer profiling, and sales training.
- Use available sales analysis tools to support effective territory management.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer groups and use customer networks to support growth.
- Work with internal teams and resources to service customers efficiently within the territory.
- Oversee consignment stock and keep customer records accurate and up to date.
- Support product promotion and new product launches.
- Share market intelligence on product trends and competitor activity.
- Ensure full compliance with MTAA industry standards, Abbott’s Code of Conduct, and all company compliance requirements.
Required Background
- A tertiary qualification in medical studies or business management is preferred.
- Strong awareness of how the industry operates and the functions involved.
- Proven selling ability, including relationship management, product demonstrations, solution development, problem solving, negotiation, and closing deals.
