Facilities Manager

About the Role

Nord Anglia Education is seeking a Facilities Manager to join Etqan Global Academy (EGA) located in Doha, Qatar. EGA is a newly established IB World School offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP). The Facilities Manager will oversee daily operations, upkeep, and maintenance of the school’s buildings, grounds, and infrastructure, ensuring a secure, safe, and well-maintained environment conducive to learning and supporting the wider school community.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the school’s estate, ensuring all facilities remain safe, operational, and fit for their intended use.
• Develop and manage planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules and supervise responsive maintenance activities.
• Coordinate statutory inspections, testing, certifications, and assist with both internal and external audits.
• Manage contractors and vendors on-site, ensuring work complies with safety standards and meets high-quality expectations.
• Support planning, coordination, and execution of refurbishment projects and capital improvements.
• Maintain detailed asset registers, equipment logs, and maintenance history records to optimize lifecycle management.
• Assist with facilities budgeting, procurement processes, and identify areas for cost efficiency.
• Provide facilities support during school events, examinations, and emergency situations.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

• Degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction, or related field.
• Proven experience managing facilities operations in complex environments.
• Experience coordinating maintenance programs and supervising contractors.
• Solid understanding of building maintenance, statutory compliance, and facilities management principles.
• Strong organizational, communication, and IT skills.
• Certifications such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Facility Management Professional (FMP), NEBOSH, IOSH, or project management qualifications (PMP, PRINCE2) are desirable.
• Experience in educational institutions and/or the GCC region preferred.
