Overview
Join Lynn Grove Academy as a Facilities Assistant to ensure a safe, secure, and well-maintained environment where students and staff can thrive. This full-time, permanent role is based onsite at the academy in Gorleston-on-Sea, Norfolk, working 37 hours per week across 52 weeks.
Key Responsibilities
The Facilities Assistant supports daily site operations by maintaining cleanliness, security, and functionality of the school buildings and grounds. This involves hands-on work, performing caretaking duties, coordinating essential services, and assisting in planned and preventative maintenance tasks to promote a welcoming and safe environment.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate demonstrates reliability, proactivity, excellent attention to detail, and takes pride in maintaining high standards. Good English and Maths skills (GCSE Grade 3 or equivalent) are expected, alongside experience in maintenance settings. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, is necessary. The role requires the ability to handle diverse responsibilities and adapt to non-standard attendance patterns.

- Salary: Scale D, point 6, £25,989 per annum
- Work hours: 06:45 to 14:45 with a 30-minute lunch; Fridays end at 14:15
- Contract: Permanent
