Estimation & Tendering Engineer

Role Overview

Capacite is looking for an Estimation & Tendering Engineer to support building project bids with strong exposure to site execution, cost planning, and tender preparation.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate tender requirements and prepare supporting documents for building projects.
• Develop tender summaries and compile key pre-bid points for submission.
• Carry out market research and site visits to gather the data needed for accurate bidding.
• Perform item-wise rate analysis, project overhead calculations, and pricing for BOQs.
• Prepare baseline project planning inputs for tender submissions.
• Draft site logistics plans, construction methodology notes, and complete tender submissions.
• Create technical or project-specific presentations for clients as required.
• Assess current plant, equipment, and formwork needs relevant to the project.
• Estimate mobilization requirements, including formwork, equipment, and manpower resources.

Requirements

• B.E. in Civil Engineering is required; B.Tech / B.E. in Civil is acceptable.
• Overall site experience of 8 to 15 years is needed.
• At least 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in tendering and estimation for building projects.
• Prior exposure to building projects and current construction practices in the sector.
• Working knowledge of commercial and technical contract terms and conditions.
• Experience handling tender documents, bid preparation, and related estimation work.
• Strong understanding of rate analysis, BOQ pricing, project overheads, mobilization, and resource planning.
• Comfort with preparing methodology notes, logistics plans, and client-facing technical presentations.
