About the role
This position is for an experienced ESL tutor who can support the training of AI models. The work involves assessing how chatbot responses improve over time, checking the reasoning behind their answers, and helping resolve issues that raise the overall quality of the models.
The role calls for a very strong command of writing, editing, and content creation. Backgrounds such as communications or journalism are also relevant.
What you can expect
- Choose the projects you want to take on and decide when you work.
- Work independently on your own computer, from wherever you are most comfortable.
- Hourly pay starts at $25–$30+ per hour, and some projects may include bonus pay.
Responsibilities
- Create writing and editing tasks for AI chatbots and review the results they produce.
- Assess AI-generated output for accuracy, quality, and overall performance.
Qualifications
- Native-level or bilingual English fluency is required.
- You should be highly attentive to detail.
- Strong grammar, writing style, and brand voice skills are essential.
- A bachelor's degree that is completed, underway, or planned is preferred, though not mandatory.

This is an independent contractor opportunity. Payment is handled through PayPal, including any currency conversion from USD. No payment or fees will ever be requested from applicants. Only candidates located in New Zealand will be considered.
