Equipment Coordinator

About the Role

Join a globally reputed, commercially driven organization committed to enabling international trade. The Equipment Coordinator will oversee and optimize container movements and manage the lifecycle of equipment assets to ensure cost-effective delivery for customers.

This position primarily focuses on applying technical expertise to achieve operational goals. While it involves some mentoring and informal supervision of junior staff, it emphasizes individual contributions and process management. The role reports to the Area Equipment & Engineering Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement equipment flow strategies based on import and export trends.
• Lead initiatives to reduce equipment costs.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across the organization.
• Oversee supply chain activities concerning equipment supply and evacuation.
• Ensure regional equipment stock aligns with headquarters targets.
• Manage regional equipment-related projects.
• Maintain inventory levels in accordance with export forecasts.
• Work with vendors and equipment maintenance resources to uphold service quality.
• Reduce equipment dwell time and minimize long-standing inventory.
• Maintain accurate data and reporting documentation.
• Coordinate company-wide equipment initiatives.
• Deliver exceptional customer service experiences.
• Plan equipment positioning based on market demand fluctuations.
• Operate within terminals lacking dedicated depots.
