Engineer/Senior Engineer (Guided Weapons)

About the Role

We are looking for motivated professionals to join DSTA to design, develop, integrate, test, and operationalize cutting-edge technologies that enhance national security capabilities.

• Work on next-generation weapons systems across multiple platforms including airborne, air defence, land, and naval to boost combat effectiveness.
• Develop missiles, rockets, and precision-guided munitions targeting various land and sea objectives.
• Handle large-caliber weapons utilising the latest precision guidance advancements.
• Design anti-air missiles deployable from air, land, and naval platforms.
• Contribute to underwater weaponry such as torpedoes and countermeasures to strengthen fleet operational impact and deterrence.
• Implement remote-controlled weapon stations aimed at increasing survivability and combat lethality.

• Create, test, and provide innovative engineering solutions that transform capability.
• Architect and integrate advanced systems from around the world into cohesive capabilities.
• Experiment with and assess emerging technologies for practical deployment.
• Maintain the highest levels of product safety, performance, and reliability.
• Partner with premier organisations, companies, and research institutions locally and internationally for joint technology development.

Requirements

• Possess a tertiary degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
• Demonstrate innovation and eagerness to learn new skills and explore emerging technology domains.
• Exhibit a dynamic, proactive personality with strong interpersonal abilities and a self-motivated can-do attitude.
• Be open to travelling overseas for work assignments.
