Overview
HCLTech is looking for an Electrical Wiring Harness Design Engineer to support cabling and wiring harness design work in Bengaluru, India. The role focuses on system administration, configuration, user support, and digital solutions for wiring harness documentation, modeling, and data management within a future PLM environment.

Role Summary
The position requires strong hands-on experience with Siemens Capital Harness and/or SABER. It also benefits candidates who have worked with MCAD tools such as Creo Parametric and CATIA V5. The engineer will assist end users, troubleshoot issues, contribute to studies and investigations, and help shape upcoming IT solutions for wiring harness engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and configure Siemens Capital Harness and/or SABER systems.
- Assist users with cabling and wiring harness design activities in SABER.
- Investigate issues, support problem-solving, and collaborate with internal teams and suppliers.
- Take part in studies and technical investigations related to wiring harness engineering.
- Help establish and configure new IT solutions for wiring harness documentation, modeling, and data management.
Experience and Skills
- Solid hands-on experience with SABER and Siemens Capital Harness system management.
- Practical exposure to wiring harness development and associated digital engineering solutions.
- Good understanding of wiring harness documentation needs and engineering workflows.
- Awareness of security and compliance expectations for IT systems, including internal controls, data protection, and critical applications.
- MCAD experience in Creo Parametric and CATIA V5 is an advantage.
- Prior experience from Volvo is considered a plus.
- Open-minded, collaborative, service-oriented, and ownership-driven approach.
Nice to Have
- Practical knowledge of Siemens Capital Harness or SABER, CATIA V5, Creo Parametric, and related PLM integrations.
- Understanding of Volvo KOLA logic and virtual product data management.
- Experience in automotive product development and virtual verification/validation processes.
- Experience in highly integrated environments combining PLM, CAD, electrical/electronic systems, and manufacturing engineering.
