Electrical Technician

Position Overview

This role entails hands-on supervision and maintenance of the Building Management System (BMS) and Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems within a commercial environment. Reporting to the Project Manager or a Control Engineer, the technician is expected to ensure the reliability and efficiency of installed systems and provide technical direction as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems, verifying the root cause of elevated system issues.
• Demonstrate foundational knowledge in air conditioning, electrical systems, plumbing, and fire alarm mechanisms, especially within high-traffic commercial and warehouse settings.
• Perform terminations and installations involving BMS panels and related field devices.
• Participate actively in the testing and commissioning phases of BMS projects.
• Work in coordination with MEP personnel and external vendors to facilitate various maintenance operations.
• Interpret BMS drawings, which may include pipework, ducting, containment, and other mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) site layouts.
• Regularly carry out on-site evaluations to ensure proper system functionality.
• Recommend, propose, and help implement improvements to systems, workflows, and procedures.
• Promote and mentor peers on compliance with local health and safety guidelines.
