Job description
Role Overview and Responsibilities
This role demands maintaining high standards in the projection and audio-visual systems within cinema environments. The Electrical Technician is responsible for daily operational checks on digital projection equipment such as servers and audio processors, including ingesting movie content and managing KDM licenses along with configuring playlists. Continuous monitoring of key parameters like screen visuals, lamp life, laser conditions, and sound levels ensures an optimal viewing experience for patrons. Prompt troubleshooting and resolution of any audio-visual malfunctions or disruptions during screenings are essential.
In addition to AV responsibilities, the candidate will conduct Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) on crucial HVAC components such as Air Handling Units, chillers, variable refrigerant flow systems, and exhaust fans. The role also involves routine checks of electrical infrastructure including distribution boards, generators, UPS systems, lighting, and emergency backups. Controlling auditorium temperatures strategically contributes to customer comfort throughout all theatres.
Facility and Safety Maintenance
On the facility front, the technician will oversee maintenance of plumbing, fire alarm systems, emergency exit illumination, and basic carpentry/fixings related to doors and hardware. Assessing safety compliance through inspection of circuit breakers, electrical wiring, and fire hazard prevention measures is crucial. Accurate logging of equipment readings, tracking any malfunctions, and timely reporting of required spare parts to engineering management form part of the operational responsibilities.
Compensation
The position offers a monthly salary ranging from 18,000 to 24,000 INR.
