Position Overview
Join us at Revesby OSHC to foster a cheerful, secure, and stimulating environment for before and after school care where children flourish. As part of the YMCA NSW team, you'll implement engaging programs that nurture confidence, relationships, and wellbeing daily.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and run enjoyable activities that children eagerly participate in.
- Maintain a safe and inviting atmosphere for children aged 5 to 12 to thrive.
- Develop and sustain positive connections with children, their families, and colleagues.
- Design dynamic themed events and holiday programs.
- Assist children with homework patiently and encouragingly.
- Lead a variety of games, sports, creative arts, and outdoor activities.
- Document activities clearly and keep open communication with families.
- Work collaboratively to consistently enhance the program's quality.
Candidate Requirements
- Relevant credentials in Early Childhood, Education or related fields.
- Possession of a Working with Children Check.
- First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to acquire.
- Genuine enthusiasm for working with children.
- Creativity, energetic approach, and a strong sense of humor.
- Effective verbal communication abilities.
- Willingness to work flexible morning and/or afternoon shifts.
- A team-oriented attitude with potential to lead.
