Role Overview
Join a Boots UK store team as a Dispenser, playing a vital role in supporting pharmacists and healthcare colleagues to deliver safe and effective pharmacy services onsite. You will interact directly with patients, helping them with prescriptions, medicine sales, and offering knowledgeable health advice to enhance their wellbeing.
Key Duties
- Accurately dispense prescriptions, ensuring medicines are ordered, labeled, and supplied safely and legally following standard procedures.
- Collaborate with fellow pharmacy staff to manage and deliver comprehensive pharmacy services within the store.
- Provide expert advice to patients concerning their medications, directing complex queries to the pharmacist as needed.
- Stay current with in-store innovations and operational processes to maintain high standards of service.
- Assist patients in navigating their prescriptions effectively, promoting medication adherence and minimizing wastage.
Training and Development
You will benefit from continuous training to broaden your healthcare knowledge and can pursue career progression opportunities, such as qualifying as a Pharmacy Technician or advancing into leadership roles within the store.
Candidate Requirements
- Possession of the Pharmacy Adviser NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent, or currently in at least the second year of an MPharm degree.
- Valid UK work authorization is mandatory; sponsorship for Skilled Worker Visas is not provided.
- Previous experience in a community pharmacy environment is advantageous.
