About the Role
Suryatex Webbing is looking for a dedicated Dispatch Executive to oversee the entire flow of goods within our manufacturing setup in Bengaluru. This full-time position involves ensuring seamless movement of materials—from receipt of raw inputs to final product dispatch—while maintaining accurate stock records and supporting the stores and dispatch teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all dispatch operations including billing, loading, coordination with transporters, and related documentation.
- Verify incoming materials for quantity and quality upon delivery to the factory.
- Keep detailed and updated inventory records covering raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
- Regularly update inventory trackers daily and promptly highlight low stock alerts.
- Supervise internal movement of materials between stores, production, packing, and dispatch areas.
- Perform periodic stock reconciliations comparing physical counts with records and investigate discrepancies.
- Monitor dispatch efficiency, transporter performance, and documentation accuracy; escalate persistent issues to management.
- Maintain key performance trackers such as stock aging and pending dispatches to proactively address concerns.
- Prepare weekly summaries reflecting stock status and dispatch operations for management review.
- Conduct training for stores and dispatch personnel on inventory tracking, stock counting protocols, and handling procedures.
- Coach new employees on standard operating procedures and reinforce the importance of accuracy in stock management.
Candidate Profile
- Comfortable with hands-on floor operations involving physical material handling alongside blue-collar teams.
- Must have personal transportation for commuting between factory and transporter points.
- Attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies in stock counts.
- Capable of managing relationships with transporters, vendors, and internal departments.
- Strong communicator able to interact effectively with both management and factory floor staff.
- Analytical mindset to review data critically and identify patterns beyond mere record keeping.
- Proactive and accountable with minimal supervision required.
Work Environment and Hours
- Role involves a blend of desk tasks (updating trackers, document filing), floor activities (stock counting, training, overseeing loading), and field duties (liaising with drivers, transporter visits, and handling shipping formalities).
- Dispatch days can be fast-paced requiring physical agility and rapid decision-making.
- Collaborates closely with production and sales teams.
- Working hours are generally from 9 AM to 6 PM with flexibility dependent on operational demands.
