About the Role
This executive leadership position offers a unique chance to shape and guide the modern commercial technology landscape that supports sales teams and drives organizational growth within a United States-based company. Acting as the vital conduit between commercial operations and technology, the Director will ensure business goals are effectively translated into robust, scalable platform solutions. The role requires collaboration with diverse teams to manage CRM strategies, business intelligence, data governance, and optimization of commercial processes while playing a pivotal role in enterprise-wide transformation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a commercial technology strategy that aligns CRM, BI, analytics, and related platforms with business goals and growth plans.
- Analyze and improve commercial business workflows by identifying opportunities to standardize processes, boost efficiency, and enhance sales productivity.
- Lead the roadmap ownership for Salesforce and commercial technology stacks, turning business needs into scalable platform functionalities while working closely with IT.
- Direct commercial data governance efforts, including establishing ownership, quality controls, and standards to maintain dependable and actionable data.
- Design KPI frameworks, reporting approaches, and executive dashboards that provide greater insights into sales performance and enable informed decision-making.
- Oversee vendor relationships, technology investments, and commercial tools to maximize value and eliminate platform complexity.
- Forge strong partnerships with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and IT leaders to achieve alignment, prioritize initiatives, and assure successful execution across units.
- Manage and mentor team members, effectively communicating strategy progression and business impact to senior stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
- Over 12 years of leadership experience in commercial operations, sales or revenue operations demonstrating tangible business impact.
- Deep expertise in Salesforce CRM, covering pipeline management, forecasting, account planning, sales performance metrics, and process design.
- Proven ability to optimize commercial workflows and translate operational needs into scalable technology solutions.
- Comprehensive knowledge of commercial technology ecosystems including CRM, analytics, reporting, and BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Experience leading transformation initiatives in complex, multi-unit or matrixed organizations.
- Strong track record collaborating across business and technology teams while balancing diverse priorities and stakeholder demands.
- Excellent analytical, strategic communication, and executive presentation skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Experience with commercial data governance, KPI development, and strategy in growth-driven environments.
- Salesforce certification and familiarity with multiple go-to-market models advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive annual base salary ranging approximately from $149,200 to $254,000, determined by experience, skills, education, and location.
