Position Summary

We are seeking a Digital Designer who embraces full ownership of design challenges rather than merely executing isolated tasks. This role involves leading the entire design lifecycle—from initial research through to seamless developer handoff—working collaboratively to understand client needs and delivering precise, build-ready designs for development teams.

Primary Responsibilities

Create responsive website and eCommerce designs tailored for agency clients.
Design user interfaces for web applications on occasion.
Design responsive page layouts using Figma, develop wireframes, and maintain component libraries.
Prepare comprehensive, detailed design specifications for developers to implement without ambiguity.
Manage multiple client projects concurrently, matching fast-paced agency workflows.
Collaborate with team members to address and resolve design-related challenges.

Required Qualifications

Minimum of three years professional design experience, ideally within an agency or working on multiple client projects.
Advanced proficiency in Figma, including components, auto-layout, variants, prototyping, and design tokens.
A compelling portfolio showcasing responsive web design projects rather than solely mobile applications.
Expertise in developing designs from wireframes through final developer-ready mockups.
Strong understanding of responsive design principles and real-world layout implementation in code.
Excellent skills in typography, visual hierarchy, and layout composition.
Experience in creating and sustaining design systems and component libraries.
Knowledge of eCommerce user experience patterns such as product pages, checkout processes, and navigation.
Effective communication skills to clearly articulate design decisions.
Portfolio must include live websites that were constructed based on your designs.

Preferred Skills and Experience

Prior work with WordPress and Shopify platforms.
Basic understanding of HTML and CSS coding principles to improve design handoff quality.
Experience conducting user research and usability testing.
Awareness of accessibility standards and inclusive design methodologies.
Skills in motion design and micro-interactions.
