Role overview
ROKA is an Austin-based independent performance eyewear company that combines advanced sport-oriented technology with prescription glasses and sunglasses designed for everyday use. Its products are made for people on the move, whether they are training, running, cycling, or handling daily routines.
The company is hiring a freelance visual designer for contract work to help shape its brand presence across digital channels, marketing initiatives, e-commerce materials, and occasional print deliverables.

Responsibilities
- Create a variety of marketing and brand assets, including web visuals, email creatives, social media content, online advertising pieces, and some print work when needed.
- Contribute to campaign rollouts, seasonal promotions, sales pushes, and regular content updates across brand channels.
- Retouch and edit lifestyle and studio photography so imagery feels unified and on-brand.
- Keep all design output aligned with brand standards and ensure a consistent visual identity across platforms.
- Prepare final production files accurately and deliver them on schedule.
- Support additional design needs across other brand touchpoints as required.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in graphic design or visual design, whether in freelance, agency, or in-house settings.
- Advanced working knowledge of Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud tools, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat.
- A strong portfolio that shows sound design fundamentals and solid digital-first work.
- Comfort with a fast-moving work environment.
- Ability to work within established brand guidelines while contributing fresh ideas.
- High attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines.
- Bonus: experience with motion graphics or animation.
- Strong plus: familiarity with HTML, web production, Prismic CMS, and Webflow.
- Self-starter mindset with the confidence to solve problems in situations that may be unclear or evolving.
