Deli Associate

Position Overview

As a Deli Associate at Walmart Canada, you will play a vital role in delivering outstanding customer service while upholding Walmart's core values. Your responsibilities will include maintaining and organizing the deli section, assisting customers with their purchases, and stocking products efficiently.

Primary Duties

• Maintain proper zoning of the deli area to ensure a clean and appealing display.
• Rotate inventory and routinely check products for expiration dates to guarantee freshness.
• Ensure all merchandise is clearly labeled with accurate pricing and signage.
• Follow strict protocols for food safety, including temperature monitoring, cold chain compliance, and proper food handling techniques.
• Take and fulfill orders by slicing and preparing deli items such as meats, cheeses, and fried chicken using appropriate equipment like slicers and ovens.
• Support other store associates by assisting with price checks when needed.
• Prepare specialty orders, including salads and side dishes, ensuring all food is displayed attractively and kept fresh.
• Keep the work environment clean, organized, and free from hazards such as debris or spills.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this role is $18.05 CAD.
