Role overview
The Deli Assistant will be responsible for preparing excellent-quality hot and cold deli items while placing customer satisfaction at the centre of the role. This is a full-time position based onsite at Centra, Grange Road Retail Centre, Grange Road, Rathfarham, Dublin 16, D16EE73, Ireland.

Primary duties
- Represent the Centra brand values in day-to-day work by being proud, energetic, imaginative and community-focused.
- Prepare fresh food orders across the deli and other fresh food areas, including making sandwiches and rolls, serving hot food, and slicing meats according to store portion-control standards.
- Cook, prepare and present food throughout the day to maintain availability and freshness.
- Keep deli and fresh food counter displays at a consistently high standard during all trading hours.
- Use product knowledge, recipe suggestions and personal recommendations to help customers choose quality food items.
- Respond to customer questions and requests promptly, professionally and in line with store procedures.
Candidate profile
The employer is looking for someone with strong communication skills, the ability to work well within a team, and the confidence to manage several tasks in a busy, pressure-driven setting. A genuine interest in food and the ability to engage and inspire shoppers is important. HACCP training is preferred but not essential. Previous customer service experience would be beneficial.
