Job Overview

TCS is hiring for a Databricks Developer role in Kolkata and will conduct face-to-face interviews for shortlisted candidates. The role is for professionals with 5 to 12 years of experience. The interview will take place on 11-Jul-2026 at the TATA Consultancy Services venue in Delta Park, Lords Building, Plot C, Block EP & GP, Salt Lake Electronics Complex, Sector V (Bidhannagar), Kolkata, West Bengal - 700091, India.

Role Expectations

The ideal candidate should bring strong hands-on expertise in Databricks and related data engineering technologies. This includes working knowledge of Spark, Delta Lake, SQL, Unity Catalog, and Workflows/Jobs. The role also calls for solid programming ability in Python, Scala, or Java, along with practical exposure to data engineering, data warehousing, and ETL tools.

Additional Technical Exposure

Experience in data science and machine learning is valuable for this position, including familiarity with statistical modeling and ML workflows. Candidates should also have experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and hands-on use of machine learning libraries or frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.

Communication and Certification

Strong communication and collaboration skills are important for working effectively with teams. Relevant Databricks certifications, such as Databricks Certified Developer or Databricks Certified Data Scientist, will be an added advantage.
