Overview

The Data Quality Specialist will be a key member of the Data Operations team at IDFC FIRST Bank, responsible for managing the lifecycle of data quality issues from detection to resolution. The role involves close collaboration with business, technology, and data teams to monitor, analyze, and resolve data quality problems. This position offers an opportunity to work with banking data, contribute to regulatory reporting, and engage in data governance initiatives, while enhancing documentation and reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and track data quality issues across different systems and reports.
  • Assist with root cause analysis and coordinate with stakeholders to drive timely issue resolution.
  • Track service level agreements (SLA) and turnaround times (TAT), ensuring follow-ups for prompt closures.
  • Develop and update documentation such as data definitions, process guides, and data mappings (RDEs).
  • Write and execute basic to intermediate SQL queries to validate data, detect exceptions, and support quality checks.
  • Prepare regular data quality MIS reports and dashboards.
  • Engage with business and technology teams to clarify and understand data requirements.
  • Support the deployment of data quality rules and profiling mechanisms.
