About the Apprenticeship Program

This Data Analytics Apprenticeship at Google is a comprehensive 24-month learning and career development initiative designed for individuals aiming to launch a professional path in data analytics. Apprentices will immerse themselves full-time (~40 hours weekly) in an onsite setting, integrating hands-on project work with tailored external training. Application options allow candidates to specify their preferred working city among Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Gurgaon, or Mumbai, India. Movement between locations after joining is not permitted.

Eligibility and Qualifications

• Possess a bachelor's degree in any discipline.
• Have a minimum of one year of relevant post-graduate experience in Data Analytics.
• Proficient in using Google Workspace tools such as Gmail, Chrome, Docs, and Sheets or equivalent applications.
• Fluent in English, with the capacity to comprehend instructions and learn effectively from documentation and presentations.

Preferred attributes include an interest or background in data analysis, the ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively, strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, comfort navigating ambiguous challenges, and familiarity with SQL programming.

Program Details and Responsibilities

• Spend roughly 20% of your time in structured training and the remainder on practical projects aligned with assigned Google teams.
• Conduct precise data assessments, identify irregularities, document findings for knowledge sharing, and perform customized analyses to extract valuable industry insights for Google's clientele.
• Apply data-driven methods to quantify business impacts of Google's media recommendations and support decision-making.
• Understand the data lifecycle as it applies across various business units, utilizing diverse analytic tools and techniques to generate actionable recommendations.
• Develop core data analytic capabilities, leveraging spreadsheets and programming languages to organize, analyze, and interpret data effectively.

Additional Information and Terms

• This apprenticeship is not a permanent role but a time-bound training and work experience program lasting two years.
• Participants are eligible to apply for full-time positions at Google only during the final three months of the apprenticeship.
