Role Overview
The position of Data Analyst offers the chance to work within a high-performing multidisciplinary group focused on creating enterprise data products using a modern cloud data platform. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining reliable data assets while partnering closely with business stakeholders to convert complex data sets into actionable insights that support key organisational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, deploy, and maintain enterprise data assets and data products.
- Examine, profile, and validate intricate data sets to guarantee their quality and accuracy.
- Translate business needs into coded data transformations.
- Create new data attributes and develop prototype analytical solutions.
- Collaborate effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders, contributing to team goals and maintaining thorough documentation.
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong experience in analysing complex datasets and delivering robust data solutions.
- Proficiency in SQL programming along with experience in SAS Viya, R, and/or Python.
- Familiarity with Snowflake, SAS Viya, or other cloud-based data platforms.
- Previous work experience in Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) environments.
- Solid understanding of data pipeline construction, data modelling, and reporting architectures.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Capable of converting business requirements into technical data solutions.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric Power BI and willingness to quickly adapt to new analytics tools.
Additional Information
- This role is initially offered as a 12-month contract with the possibility of a 12-month extension.
- Australian citizenship is mandatory, with the ability to obtain Baseline Security Clearance required.
