Overview
Aaratech Inc., a technology company specializing in cybersecurity and other domains, is in search of a Cyber Security Analyst specializing in Purple Team activities. The role involves supporting both offensive and defensive security operations, performing vulnerability assessments, enhancing network security, and prioritizing risks to bolster the company's security posture.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute vulnerability assessments leveraging tools such as Nessus, Qualys, or Rapid7.
- Evaluate firewall rules, network security configurations, and Active Directory infrastructure.
- Determine and rank vulnerabilities aligned with OWASP Top 10 guidelines and industry standards.
- Create basic automation scripts using Python or PowerShell to aid security evaluations and fixes.
- Compile detailed vulnerability reports highlighting risks and recommendations.
- Work closely with IT and engineering teams to ensure remediation progress is tracked effectively.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Two to three years of professional experience within Cyber Security, Network Security, Infrastructure, or Penetration Testing roles.
- Proficiency with vulnerability management software and sound understanding of network security concepts.
- Familiarity with OWASP Top 10 security risks and Active Directory security practices.
- Strong analytical abilities, communication skills, and problem-solving aptitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with Nessus, Qualys, or Rapid7 vulnerability scanners.
- Ability to write scripts in Python or PowerShell for security-related tasks.
- CERTIFICATIONS such as CEH, CSA, CompTIA Security+, CySA+, or other vendor-related security credentials considered advantageous.
Additional Information
Compensation ranges from $75,000 to $85,000 annually and is negotiable. Candidates must be authorized to work within the United States without sponsorship.
