Role Overview
This position sits within the Sales & Marketing function and acts as the main link between the company and its customers. The role is focused on keeping orders moving smoothly, resolving customer concerns promptly, and delivering a high standard of service. It also requires regular coordination with teams across Sales, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, and Operations to support commercial goals, improve customer experience, and strengthen day-to-day efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for customer questions, complaints, and service issues, and work to close them out quickly and effectively.
- Coordinate support for new product development by aligning customer needs with internal execution plans.
- Handle export and import shipment activities, including required paperwork, logistics coordination, and letter of credit-related tasks.
- Prepare and circulate business reports, performance dashboards, and operational updates for leadership and other stakeholders.
- Work with local and global cross-functional partners to ensure shipments are planned on time and orders are executed successfully.
- Keep customer master data, supporting documents, business communications, and transaction records accurate and up to date.
- Contribute to or lead projects from kickoff to completion, share progress updates, and help ensure targets are achieved.
Required Background
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Life Sciences, Commerce, or a similar field is required; an advanced degree is an advantage.
- At least 7 years of experience in customer service, customer operations, supply chain, or order management within a B2B setting; experience in pharmaceuticals or life sciences is preferred.
- Solid understanding of order processing, customer support workflows, logistics coordination, and supply chain operations.
- Strong command of English, with clear written and spoken communication skills.
- Practical experience using SAP SD and Salesforce.com (SFDC).
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for reporting and presentations.
- Knowledge of international trade documentation, import and export procedures, and letter of credit requirements.
