The role is designed for someone who can improve forecasting precision, strengthen trade investment efficiency, and support profitable growth through analytical planning and insight-based decisions. As part of the Customer Business Team, you will work closely with Sales, Finance, and Revenue Growth Management to align commercial plans that support margin, volume, and market share goals. The position combines strong analytical discipline with commercial judgment, and it carries ownership of reporting, performance monitoring, and planning excellence across the customer portfolio.
Because the role is highly visible and collaborative, it requires someone who can influence stakeholders, bring structure to planning processes, and help improve execution across teams. Success in this position directly affects business performance through precise forecasting, disciplined routines, and strong cross-functional partnership.
Key accountabilities
- Manage the monthly forecasting process and related planning routines to improve consistency, accuracy, and alignment across the Customer Business Team.
- Work in close partnership with Sales, Finance, and Revenue Growth Management to improve planning effectiveness and overall business results.
- Take ownership of customer reporting, including NSV/GSV monitoring, margin pool analysis, and leadership-ready performance insights.
- Create and apply trade strategies for both working and non-working trade spend with the goal of maximizing return on investment and profitability.
- Review syndicated and internal data to produce insights that help guide category growth, brand performance, and customer decisions.
- Lead forecast bias analysis and share findings with leadership to support stronger forecasting discipline over time.
- Keep business records, reporting materials, and operational documentation detailed, current, and accurate.
- Contribute to improvements in systems, tools, and planning capabilities within the customer planning environment.
Requirements
- Solid financial understanding with hands-on experience in forecasting, budgeting, and commercial planning.
- Background using syndicated data sources to develop insights, customer recommendations, and category strategies.
- Strong analytical capability, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under time pressure.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, including work with large datasets and reporting tools.
- Exposure to syndicated data platforms such as IRI, Nielsen, or comparable tools.
- Clear communication and presentation ability, with confidence in influencing both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to operate independently in a fast-moving, cross-functional setting while handling several priorities at once.
- Strong commercial judgment, curiosity, and a continuous-improvement mindset focused on problem solving.
