About Ark Vetcare
Ark Vetcare is an active and evolving small animal veterinary practice with three clinics located in Foxrock, Dún Laoghaire, and Kilmacud. Role Overview
We seek a personable, organised, and professional Receptionist to act as the initial point of contact for clients and their pets. This permanent, full-time position entails managing client interactions, maintaining appointment schedules, processing payments, and supporting administrative functions. Working closely with veterinary surgeons and nurses, you will help facilitate patient care and maintain a clean, well-organized reception environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and register clients and their pets.
- Manage appointments, practice diary, and client communications via phone and email.
- Handle payments and cash transactions accurately.
- Coordinate with clinical staff to assist patient care processes.
- Stock shelves, prepare client orders, and ensure reception area cleanliness and orderliness.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for an empathetic and motivated individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organisational ability and attention to detail are essential along with confidence using computer systems. Customer service or receptionist experience is advantageous but not mandatory, as full training will be provided. Above all, you should be approachable, eager to learn, and dedicated to delivering excellent client service.
Working Schedule
- Full-time with rotating shifts: either 7:30am–3:30pm or 11:00am–7:00pm, Monday to Friday, including a 30-minute unpaid break.
- Work every fourth Saturday from 8:00am to 3:00pm with a 30-minute break.
- At least one Bank Holiday per year from 9:00am to 3:00pm.
- Overtime compensated as time off in lieu (TOIL).
- Occasional travel to other group clinics may be required.
