Position Overview
We are inviting applications for an experienced Curriculum Lead to join a specialist school in Riyadh dedicated to educating children aged 3 to 12 with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and additional special educational needs (SEN). This role is offered as a 12-month fixed-term contract and involves onsite work in Saudi Arabia. The position is vital for steering the creation, execution, and quality assurance of a progressive curriculum grounded in the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and National Curriculum. This curriculum is specially tailored to support all pupils within an integrated, clinically-informed educational environment.
Key Duties
- Design, develop, and implement the school’s curriculum, ensuring it meets diverse learner needs.
- Maintain excellence in teaching, learning practices, and assessment throughout the school.
- Provide leadership and coaching to teaching staff to support their professional development.
- Collaborate with the senior leadership team to embed curriculum intent and guarantee uniform delivery across all classes.
- Engage with the Saudi Ministry of Education and other curriculum regulatory authorities to ensure compliance and accreditation.
- Track curriculum outcomes and promote ongoing enhancements.
- Uphold safeguarding policies, inclusivity, and maintain high standards in all educational provisions.
Candidate Profile
- Possession of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- At least two years experience in curriculum leadership or senior leadership roles within education.
- In-depth understanding of the British EYFS and National Curriculum frameworks.
- Prior experience in special educational needs or specialist education is desirable.
- Excellent leadership capabilities, strong communication skills, and expertise in curriculum design.
