About the Role
Our client, a prominent semi-government hospitality entity, is actively seeking a seasoned Corporate Finance Manager to enhance their Finance Operations division. Reporting to the Head of Finance Operations, this pivotal role is geared towards elevating finance operational standards across a broad spectrum of hotels and global business units. It emphasizes strategic partnership over routine finance tasks, focusing on operational excellence and governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Head of Finance Operations to assess and refine finance processes within both corporate and international hotel settings.
- Execute thorough operational audits across various regions to uncover inefficiencies, control weaknesses, and potential for standardization and ongoing enhancement.
- Deliver comprehensive reports and action plans to Head Office aimed at boosting operational efficiency and governance.
- Lead finance transformation projects designed to increase efficiency, compliance, reporting accuracy, and scalability of operations.
- Analyze and improve finance processes spanning Record-to-Report, Order-to-Cash, and Procure-to-Pay cycles.
- Engage with regional finance teams ensuring uniform application of policies, procedures, and controls across all subsidiaries.
- Assist with finance integration matters during acquisitions, new hotel launches, and organizational restructures.
- Coordinate with auditors to keep finance operations audit-ready and compliant with corporate standards.
- Evaluate and recommend enhancements to financial controls and risk management approaches.
- Partner with business units to refine financial reporting and drive operational and decision-making improvements.
- Support strategic initiatives such as process redesign, governance improvement, cost reduction, and operational excellence.
- Monitor and report progress on improvement initiatives to senior leadership.
- Work alongside international finance teams to ensure adherence to corporate finance policies and practices.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Preferably holds professional accounting certifications such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, or CIMA.
- 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, finance operations, or finance transformation roles.
- Experience working within large multinational corporations, global enterprises, or holding companies is critical.
- Deep understanding of finance operational areas including Record-to-Report, Order-to-Cash, and Procure-to-Pay.
- Proven track record of assessing finance functions, identifying enhancement opportunities, and implementing process improvements.
- Strong expertise in finance governance, internal controls, compliance, and audit protocols.
- Familiarity with international finance operations, particularly cross-border tax issues.
- Experience in leading finance transformation and operational excellence projects.
- Analytical ability to interpret operational data and formulate strategic insights.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with confidence influencing senior finance leadership across multiple territories.
- Hospitality or leisure industry experience is advantageous though candidates from large corporate environments will also be considered.
- Proficient communication and presentation skills capable of producing high-level reports and recommendations.
Additional Information
This opportunity is an initial contract lasting between 3 to 6 months, with possibility for renewal. Candidates able to start immediately or within 30 days of offer acceptance will be preferred.
