About the organisation
Quarryfields is part of Exemplar Health Care, a major nursing care provider in the UK. The service supports adults with learning disabilities and/or autism, as well as people with complex mental health needs. The organisation highlights secure employment, development opportunities, and a supportive workplace.
Cooking responsibilities
In the kitchen, you will prepare and serve meals, create menus that reflect residents’ preferences and dietary needs, and gather feedback from the people supported to help improve meals. You will also follow food safety and hygiene standards, complete required checks, keep accurate records, and contribute positively as part of the team.
Housekeeping responsibilities
On the housekeeping side, you will carry out daily and weekly cleaning tasks along with occasional ad-hoc duties. This includes cleaning and tidying allocated areas such as bedrooms, lounges, kitchens, bathrooms, and offices. You will also handle tasks like dusting, mopping, polishing, vacuuming, and, when needed, support laundry washing and drying. You’ll be expected to report any breakages, damage, defects, or hazards.
Training and support
If you have not worked in care before, the home will support your start through induction, a buddy system, and ongoing training.
