About the Role
Premier Inn Hotels – Middle East is seeking a dedicated Commis Chef to join the culinary team at our Doha Education City property. This role is vital in supporting the Head Chef and contributing to all kitchen operations, ensuring guests receive exceptional service and delicious cuisine.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef with the daily preparation and presentation of dishes across all kitchen sections, maintaining high standards at all times.
- Adhere strictly to food hygiene protocols, following established company guidelines and maintaining documentation such as the Daily Diligence Diary.
- Communicate important information—such as ingredient stock levels, best kitchen practices, and quality control matters—to all relevant team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure food quantities and quality consistently meet the hotel’s standards, optimizing preparation and service to delight guests.
- Manage the proper storage of food products, minimize wastage and spoilage, and control portions to efficiently manage costs.
- Follow standard operating procedures, including adherence to specified recipes and portioning guidelines.
Requirements
- Ideally have at least 2 years of experience as a Commis Chef in a 3-star or higher rating hotel or equivalent Food & Beverage setting.
- A tertiary qualification in Culinary Arts is advantageous.
- Proficient command of English (advanced level required).
