Job description
Position Overview
We are seeking a Commercial Manager to lead the commercial operations across multiple ongoing projects for a leading Tier 1 main contractor in the greater Dublin area. This portfolio of projects is valued at up to e2 82 ac100 million. This role offers authentic commercial ownership from contract award through to final account, including entitlement protection, risk management, performance enhancement, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the entire commercial function across the project portfolio including CVRs, forecasts, cash flow, and cost control.
- Administer main contracts (NEC, PWC, RIAI, FIDIC) covering entitlement, change management, and claims.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies and oversee subcontractor package awarding up to Target Price Commitment (TPC).
- Serve as the principal commercial liaison with clients, design teams, and consultants.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing commercial team.
Candidate Profile
- Currently a Senior Quantity Surveyor with over five years of experience in a Tier 1 contractor environment, ready to advance or already holding a Commercial Manager position.
- Degree holder in Construction Economics or Quantity Surveying.
- Chartered status with MSCSI or MRICS preferred, or actively progressing through APC.
- Proven experience managing complex projects valued up to e2 82 ac100 million, ensuring delivery within budget and schedule.
- Proficient in industry software including CostX, Cubit, and COINS.
