About the Role
We are seeking a Commercial Contract Specialist to join our partner company remotely within the United States. This position supports the commercial team by overseeing the full lifecycle of contract development, ensuring contractual agreements are precise, compliant, and aligned with the company's strategic goals.
The specialist will serve a pivotal role by coordinating contract processes among commercial, legal, implementation, operations teams, and external partners. This collaborative role demands exceptional attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex contracts to facilitate sound business decisions and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with contract management including drafting initial versions of NDAs, Master Service Agreements, Statements of Work, amendments, and other commercial agreements.
- Collaborate with sales, operations experts, and leadership to align contract scope, timelines, budget, and requirements.
- Conduct detailed reviews of contract documents, proposals, and client contracts to identify risks, requirements, or necessary changes.
- Support legal teams by preparing and managing documentation, tracking edits, consolidating feedback, and ensuring contracts meet internal policies and legal standards.
- Coordinate contract workflows from drafting through review, approval, execution, and distribution processes.
- Maintain comprehensive contract records, repositories, tracking sheets, and reporting tools for clear visibility among commercial, legal, and operational teams.
- Keep contract templates and libraries up to date to enhance efficiency and consistency in agreement development.
- Monitor contract renewals and assist in ongoing contract administration duties.
- Engage in commercial team meetings contributing ideas for process and operational improvements.
- Perform additional tasks as required to support business objectives and objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in life sciences, marketing, business administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in contract management, patient access support, client management, or a related area.
- Proficiency with document and contract management systems, including Google Suite and Microsoft Office 365.
- In-depth understanding of contract administration, including principles, processes, budget considerations, and pricing strategies.
- Industry knowledge in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, healthcare, or commercial pharmacy sectors.
- Familiarity with procurement regulations, industry norms, and commercial contracting standards.
- Advanced knowledge of commercial contracting regulations specific to pharmaceuticals.
- Preferred knowledge of federal and state contracting policies relevant to healthcare such as HIPAA and patient privacy rules.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective collaboration.
- Exceptional organization, time management, and project coordination capabilities.
- Excellent analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret complex contractual documents and requirements accurately.
- Self-driven with strong prioritization and adaptable workflow management skills.
- Experience contributing to contract strategy formulation, process improvement initiatives, and cross-functional teamwork is a plus.

- Competitive annual salary ranging between $54,200 and $93,600.
- Fully remote work setting allowing work from any location within the United States.
- Full-time exempt employment with a standard schedule Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evenings or weekend hours as business needs arise.
