About the Role
Christchurch United FC is seeking commentators to join their team for home match broadcasts. The role involves live commentary, including play-by-play announcing and in-depth game analysis.
Responsibilities
The commentator will be responsible for narrating the game as it unfolds, engaging viewers with continuous and insightful commentary, even during quieter moments in the match.
Requirements
No prior broadcasting experience is necessary. Candidates must have a strong knowledge of football and the ability to captivate and maintain the attention of an audience. The role is open to teachers, students, coaches, avid supporters, or anyone comfortable commanding a room.
Selection Process
The selection is made based on an audition rather than a resume. Applicants need to submit a single, unedited recording of 60 to 90 seconds of live commentary. This recording can be made on a mobile phone.
Additional Information
When there is a scheduled broadcast, commentators on the bench will be offered seats to participate, and they can accept the dates that work best for them.
