The organisation seeks a seasoned professional to lead safeguarding, client safety, complaints management, and incident oversight. This role is vital in advancing best practices and embedding a culture where safety, learning, and accountability are fundamental to the organisation's operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the organisation's approach to safeguarding, client safety, and handling complaints, ensuring protection and respect for all clients.
- Support leaders and teams in responding effectively and sensitively to client issues and incidents.
- Offer expert guidance on complex cases involving client wellbeing, safety, and rights.
- Analyze incident, feedback, and complaint data to identify trends and enhance client experiences and service quality.
- Develop the capability of staff and leaders through coaching, training, and practical assistance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, regulators, and internal teams to foster and strengthen a safeguarding culture across the organisation.

Qualifications and Experience
- Experience in safeguarding, client safety, complaints management, investigations, quality assurance, governance, or risk management.
- Skilled in navigating sensitive and complex situations, prioritizing client wellbeing.
- Excellent relationship-building and influencing skills across diverse groups of stakeholders.
- Background in community services, human services, health, mental health, or related sectors.
- Solid understanding of safeguarding principles, client rights, trauma-informed practice, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, Human Services, Public Health, Law, or a related field.
- Professional registration or accreditation in the relevant discipline is highly valued.
Remuneration and Benefits
- Competitive salary ranging from $115,339 to $120,437 per annum.
- Salary packaging benefits up to $15,900 plus $2,650 for meal entertainment.
