Role Overview

The City Operations Manager for Riyadh is a crucial full-time, on-site position responsible for managing and enhancing day-to-day operational activities in Riyadh. This role ensures the balance of local supply and demand by efficiently onboarding, supporting, and managing the performance of drovox Heroes. It involves tracking key performance indicators, diagnosing operational challenges, and deploying data-driven strategies to boost reliability, quality of service, and safety standards. The manager collaborates closely with departments such as product, customer experience, marketing, and partnerships to implement local projects, initiatives, and improve processes. Additionally, the role requires leadership over local teams, engagement with external stakeholders, and assurance of compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Proven expertise in operations management including improving processes, planning resources, and tracking performance.
• Background in mobility, transportation, logistics, or similar sectors, preferably familiar with ride-hailing or on-demand platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, capable of interpreting operational metrics, spotting trends, and driving meaningful enhancements.
• Effective stakeholder communication and management skills for collaboration with internal departments, drivers, partners, and government entities.
• Experience in leading teams, including mentoring, coaching, and developing operational personnel on-site.
• Customer-centric mindset with successful experience in elevating service quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
• Comfortable with technology platforms and mobile apps and able to coordinate with product and technical teams.
• A bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, or related fields is required; advanced degrees considered a plus.
• Proficiency in English is mandatory; knowledge of Arabic and good understanding of the Saudi market are highly favored.
• Ability to work physically from the Riyadh office with flexibility to handle operational issues beyond regular business hours as needed.
