About Norbert Health

Norbert Health created a robotic care assistant that is already being used successfully in clinical environments. The company has developed an AI layer that can transform nearly any mobile robot into Norbert, a care companion that tracks patients, engages them in meaningful conversation, and helps caregivers focus on the tasks that require a human touch. The solution is designed to work across robot hardware platforms, so the company builds intelligence rather than manufacturing the robots themselves.

The product is currently active in nursing homes, rehab centers, and senior care communities. It has been accepted by patients, trusted by clinicians, and is already helping operators improve team effectiveness.

Norbert Health is preparing for a Series B fundraise to support rapid growth across the U.S. healthcare market. The capital will be used to expand deployments at scale, strengthen the commercial and clinical organizations, and deepen the company’s integration with a preferred robot manufacturing partner. The goal is to deliver Norbert as a polished, enterprise-grade solution for hospital systems, post-acute providers, and long-term care organizations.

This is an opportunity to help establish a new healthcare category at meaningful scale, at a moment when the technology is proven, the market is ready, and competitive pressure is still limited.

The Opportunity

Norbert Health is looking for an outstanding Chief Operating Officer to partner with CEO Alexandre Winter in shaping the company’s next phase. This senior leadership role carries full accountability for the commercial, operational, and regulatory engine of the business, spanning go-to-market execution, clinical deployment, and team development. The person in this role will set operating rhythm, create structure, and deliver the outcomes needed to achieve the company’s Series B goals.

The COO will lead the operating side of the business end to end while the CEO concentrates on technology, R&D, product, and investor relationships. The company is seeking a decisive, high-standard operator who can scale teams and drive execution.

This role may be viewed as a late co-founder-level opportunity, and board participation may also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead business development, strategic partnerships, and expansion efforts across healthcare operators and healthcare systems.
  • Explore and pursue new channels, regions, and facility types for Norbert deployments.
  • Develop strong relationships with important decision-makers at both operator and system level.
  • Own brand strategy, content direction, and public relations in partnership with the CEO.
  • Build out the marketing function from early-stage setup into a scalable operating engine.
  • Oversee clinical deployment planning and make sure integrations work smoothly across sites.
  • Recruit, coach, and support clinical leaders while keeping the function well-resourced and accountable.
  • Manage implementation, customer success, and account management activities.
  • Create and enforce operating systems, process discipline, and KPI tracking across the organization.
  • Direct the regulatory strategy and compliance work, including billing, certifications, and healthcare regulatory obligations.
  • Mentor and manage senior team members across sales, clinical, and operations functions.
  • Help shape a culture focused on follow-through, transparency, and consistently high standards.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience in healthcare, healthtech, or medical devices, ideally within a scaling startup.
  • Proven success leading sales and driving go-to-market execution.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams spanning clinical, operational, and commercial areas.
  • Strong operational rigor, including the ability to define KPIs, design processes, and ensure accountability.
  • Excellent communication and follow-through, with a reliable execution mindset.
  • Comfort working on strategy as well as hands-on execution.
  • Based in New York City or willing to spend more than half of working time in New York.

Compensation & Equity

Norbert Health provides a competitive compensation package aligned with the stage of the business and the candidate’s experience. The offer also includes a substantial equity stake designed to reflect the importance of this leadership role. Full details will be shared during the interview process. The company views this as a late co-founder-level package.

Location

Norbert Health operates as an in-office team. Collaboration happens in New York City, and the company believes this kind of ambitious work requires being together in person. This position is based full time in the NYC office.
